The charm of local heritage and above all, space!

You will need to leave the main road that passes through the commune of Rendeux, along the Ourthe river, to explore the superb little villages typical of the Ardennes. Villages such as Chéoux, Waharday, Warisy, Hodister, Magoster, Marcouray, Marcourt and others, with their stone and half-timbered houses, the charm of local heritage (calvaries, chapels, wells, etc.) and above all, space!
You will adore our landscapes, forest walks far from the hustle and bustle of daily life, panoramas and frequent encounters with wild animals (red deer, fallow deer, beavers, kites, kingfishers and more). And why not visit the superb Robert Lenoir Arboretum, which will delight you whatever the season!
Watch out for your calves! It’s a steep climb up to Saint Thibault’s chapel, a historic site that has provided the setting for more than one film.
Enthusiasts will still find traces of the Second World War throughout the region, including in Beffe and Gênes. And after exertion, comes comfort! Enjoy a delicious meal in one of the commune’s many restaurants or a local beer at the Marcourt-Beffe tourist office, open daily.
